This year, the exhibition houses over 160 photos taken by 42 photographers from 22 countries. Medium had the opportunity to attend the official opening of the exhibition at De Nieuwe Kerk.

Each photographer is a visual story-teller, each image their medium. We live in a world where more people than ever have the ability to become a visual story-teller, with their phone camera and an internet connection. The definition of journalism is blurred, and I cannot help but wonder if there will be a time when journalists are no longer relevant – because everyone has essentially become a journalist.
