Summer Throwback: Barcelona

Last week some breathtaking pictures of North-Vietnam by Isabel were presented. A culture shock I can imagine, which is something I did not experience during my holiday in Barcelona. That is why this week I am willing to show you how a city close to home can surprise you when it comes to culture, history and beauty. You can view the photos by clicking on the photo above and using the arrows to navigate between them.

What happened on August 17th was one of the most tragic moments of last summer. I was there before the attack and so I got to see the city in another light. In a beautiful light though, which I am still grateful for. Barcelona is a city where you can find all kinds of inspiration: food, fashion, architecture, history. For Medium I made a selection of my photos which hopefully bring a little Catalonian warmth and Spanish passion to the cold rainy Amsterdam.
