Winter is coming (no not in that way, stop thinking about Game of Thrones) and takes the daylight with her. This week a small ode to the Amsterdam streets after sunset.

Amsterdam is well known because of our canals, but why? When do we, inhabitants of the beautiful city, take our time to watch and see what makes our city so magical? The answer is: too little (unless you’re a photographer). This week’s photocolumn is an example of how to start. Stop rushing, start watching. Someone who got that message is Gilda Bruno, one of our editors at Medium. She takes beautiful pictures of Amsterdam. This week we have chosen to show you her pictures which characterize the current ambiance in the city: winter is coming, daylight is leaving.
