Amsterdam counts down to Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner and Amsterdam is more than ready to welcome it.

Walking around the city at this time of the year truly brings out the holiday vibes in all of us. The festive lights decorating the streets and the sweet smell of cinnamon and hot chocolate make up for the gloomy days and cold weather. Christmas is just around the corner and Amsterdam is more than ready to welcome it.

With themed markets, light festivals, parades and ice skating rinks taking over parks and plazas, it is hard to resist the Dutch’s excitement for this cheerful season. Let yourself get carried away by this  feeling of celebration, participate in the activities that the city has to offer and fall in love with the wonderland that is Amsterdam around Christmas time
